1. What is your favorite color?

Blue – It’s always what I see when I look in the mirror.

2. What is your favorite song right now?

Drive, by Joe Bonamassa. It changes all the time. I love music!!!

3. What is your favorite book?

Good To Great, by Jim Collins. I have so many… Most are business books.

4. What is your favorite movie?

Sideways… This one is hilarious to me. It includes a couple good deep laughs.

5. What is your favorite snack food?

Goji Berries – This berry makes me smile.

6. What is your favorite word?

BELIEVE!!!… I truly believe you can do anything you set you mind to… Work hard, never back down and it will happen. ALWAYS believe in yourself!!!

7. What runner inspires you?

Anyone that runs truly inspires me… If I had to pick one runner that had an everlasting effect on me, it would be Dean Karnazes. After I read the book “Ultra Marathon Man” back in 2009, I knew one day I would pick up running. It took me a while, but this book planted a seed deep within my heart.

8. What is your favorite workout?
I love working out… It’s impressive to see anyone trying to take it to the next level… My favorite workout is anything legs… Squats would be my number one pick. I LOVE a good set on leg days.

9. What is your favorite running shoe?

At the moment it’s Pearl Izumi. They feel the best on my feet out of anything I’ve tried, so far.

10. What is your favorite race medal or award?

After 10 months of running, I don’t have that many yet, but it would be “The Kernersville Frosty 5K” because that was my first trophy in the sport.

11. What race would you highly recommend?

JJF5K – (Jimmy Johnson 5K) This was the most organized race for me to date.

12. Have you ever bonked in a race?

No, but I came close. My first race ever was a full marathon (Tobacco Road) back in 2012. I don’t recommend going to a wine tasting the day before. I enjoy grapes, but this was not the best option the day before… Somehow I finished the race. Also, I don’t recommend a 26.2 being your first race… WHEW, I’m glad that’s over!!!… I hope to do that one again someday, maybe next year. Fast-forward to now – I’m in week three of training for my second marathon later this year. This one will be done correctly.

13. How many miles have you covered without walking during a run or race?

14 miles.

14. Do you prefer running in the summer or winter?

Winter, by far. My body performs better in cooler temps.

15. What is a fun fact about you?

I once held the title “unbeatable” in my class, for 3 years back when I was in the “Car Audio” competition field. A wide open moment of sleepless nights in my life.
